How to Install SamusDev Packs
How to install SamusDev packs correctly to your server, step-by-step.
Don’t worry if you’re completely new to SamusDev, just follow along every step!
This tutorial assumes you already have a Paper server.
If you don’t, follow along the Paper Server Setup Tutorial first and have a working paper server where you can install SamusDev packs.
1. Downloading & Applying Plugins

1. Download Required Plugins
Required plugins are always listed at the bottom of the product description.
Click on each plugin to go to its purchase/download page. Download and drag & drop them into your server “plugins” folder. Run your server to generate folders for each plugin.
View the table below to easily navigate through required plugins for each pack.
2. Why Premium?
MythicMobs Premium: Most packs use placeholders and premium features.
ModelEngine Premium: Demo/Free version loads only up to 12 models. Getting premium is a must.
MMOItems, MMOCore, Crucible: These are paid plugins.
MythicLib, MCPets: These are free plugins.
Choose one from these three: MMOItems / MMOCore / Crucible
If you chose MMOItems: MythicMobs Premium + ModelEngine Premium + MMOItems + MythicLib
If you chose MMOCore: MythicMobs Premium + ModelEngine Premium + MMOCore + MythicLib
If you chose Crucible: MythicMobs Premium + ModelEngine Premium + Crucible
Difference between MMOItems / MMOCore / Crucible?
MMOItems & Crucible: Skills are casted with weapons. Combination of LMB, RMB, and Shift.
MMOCore: Has a class & skill upgrade system, and skills are casted with number keys.
2. Installing Packs

1. Apply purchased packs to your server
Open up the samus2002_xxx.zip file you downloaded from SamusDev.
You will now drag & drop the components from the zip into your server “plugins” folder.
Below are installation guides for each type of pack.
1. Drag & drop required plugin folders from the pack zip directly to your server “plugins” folder.
Files to drag & drop: MythicMobs, ModelEngine, MMOItems, MythicLib
If you want to make the skills not affect players and only mobs, use the MythicMobs (Only Damage Mobs) folder instead.
2. In MythicMobs/Skills, there should be two skill files. Keep the file with “_MMOITEMS” but delete the one with “_MMOCORE”.
If you’re installing more than one pack:
If you find more than one sword.yml in MMOItems/item, do not keep them separate. Pick one sword.yml as your main file, then copy all items from the other sword.yml files and paste them into that main file so that all sword items exist in one sword.yml.

3. Resource Packs

1. Generating & Applying Resource packs
Resource packs are needed for the custom models, textures, and sounds from SamusDev packs to display correctly in-game.
For multiple resource packs, you can always manually merge raw resource packs into one, but buying one of these three plugins – ItemsAdder, Nexo, or Oraxen will help you merge resource packs easily with a simple drag & drop.
Below is a guide on how to generate and apply resource packs based on each method.
1. Run your server and type /meg reload to reload ModelEngine. Doing that will generate a resource pack.zip file in plugins/ModelEngine.
2. In the samus2002_xxx.zip file, there is a folder called Raw Resource Pack. It includes custom sounds and models like weapons, items, skill/pet icons, etc. You need to merge the ModelEngine resource pack with the Raw Resource Pack into one final Resource Pack. If there is no Raw Resource Pack folder, you can just use the resource pack.zip from ModelEngine and skip to Step 5.
First, compress the Raw Resource Pack folder into a .zip file.
3. Place the ModelEngine resource pack.zip file in the Top Slot (RP1) and the compressed Raw Resource Pack.zip file in the Bottom Slot (RP2) in the Resource Pack Merger Tool.
If you have additional packs, repeat merging all Resource Pack zip files until you have merged all resource packs into a single merged resource pack.
4. If you’re using version 1.19.3 or after, You’ll need to use a Python script called Atlas Logger by Dominexus, which is linked in this step. In order to use the script, You’ll have to install Python, which is also linked.
Place the Atlas Logger script into the same directory that your desired resource pack is saved in and run it. Be sure to overwrite the existing block.json atlas if there is one.
5. Place the final merged Resource Pack in your .minecraft/resourcepacks folder. Or in Minecraft, click on Options>Resource Packs>Open Pack Folder, drag & drop the merged Resource Pack there.
Then go back to Minecraft, move the Resource Pack to the right side by clicking on the arrow icon that appears when you hover over the Resource Pack to apply it to your game.
1. In the samus2002_xxx.zip file, there is a folder called ItemsAdder. Drag & drop it into your server plugins folder.
If you have additional packs, drag & drop all their ItemsAdder folders to your server plugins folder.
2. Run your server and type /meg reload to reload ModelEngine. Doing that will generate a resource pack folder in plugins/ModelEngine.
3. Open the plugins/ModelEngine/resource pack folder. Copy the assets folder and paste it inside the plugins/ItemsAdder/contents/modelengine/resourcepack folder.
If you don’t have a modelengine folder in contents, simply create a new folder and name it modelengine, and create another folder called resourcepack inside it.
4. Type /iazip to generate your merged ItemsAdder Resource Pack. Doing that will create a generated.zip file in plugins/ItemsAdder/output. That is your final merged resource pack.
If you want to host your resource pack, take a look at the ItemsAdder Wiki.
1. In the samus2002_xxx.zip file, there is a folder called Oraxen-Nexo. Rename it to Nexo and drag & drop it into your server plugins folder.
If you have additional packs, rename them all to Nexo and drag & drop them to your server plugins folder.
Nexo automatically merges the ModelEngine resource pack to your Nexo Resource Pack, so no need to bother manually merging ModelEngine resources.
2. After you’ve done that, in Nexo/pack, there should be 3 folders (models, sounds, textures). Move them all to Nexo/pack/assets/minecraft.
3. Type /nexo reload to generate your merged Nexo Resource Pack. Doing that will create a pack.zip file in plugins/Nexo/pack. That is your final merged resource pack.
If you want to host your resource pack, take a look at the Nexo Wiki.
